Loyola wins first online Science Fest Quantum at LFS

Jamshedpur: Little Flower School organised Quantum, its Annual Interschool Science Fest, from the 29th-31st of July. Held completely online this year in order to provide a platform to the students to discover themselves during the perilous effects of the COVID-19 virus, it was the first ever Online Interschool event in Jamshedpur. A total of 17 ICSE schools from all over Jamshedpur came forth to participate in this Science Meet.

Quantum-20 saw a range of interesting and innovative events that set the fest on fire. LA DISPUTA (Debate) was back with a bang. QRIOUS (the Grand Quiz), TRIAL BY TRIVIA (Trivia Quiz) and ASCLEPIUS (the Biology Quiz) were the three intriguing quizzes. Among other events were CRYPTOSS (Coding), PANCARTA (E-poster Making), GIPHANTIE (Photography), EUREKA (Creative Writing) and ANIMAX (Video Making) explored the potential of the participants to reason with science. DANK (meme making) unleashed the meme lord within the students. SHOWDOWN (a PUBG tournament) was the most awaited event as it saw the highest participation and success. The newly introduced event PASS THE MASK, required making a creative and entertaining video aimed at spreading awareness for wearing masks, was well received by all. All these events used a wide range of online applications. All quizzes were held on Google Meet and WhatsApp and the debate was held over Zoom. 

The range of events saw great participation and victories but only one won the title of the overall champion. The Overall Winner of Quantum-20 was Loyola School. Not far behind them, Hill Top School and Sacred Heart Convent School jointly won the title of the Overall Runners-Up.

Quantum 2020 witnessed unprecedented success and the Science Club of LFS hopes that the students keeping Dreaming, Daring, and Achieving.
