Loyola School wins IT and gaming fest at Carmel Junior

Jamshedpur, Nov 12: The Computer Club of Carmel Junior College organized PROVOKE-PROGRESS.EVOLVE, an inter school IT and gaming fest on the 11th and 12th of November, 2014.

The very first event of its kind hosted by the school, Provoke marked a phenomenal success in its first year itself.

With an aim to provide a platform for students to exchange their knowledge and ideas in the field of technology this event ignited zest for technology among one and all. Fifteen schools of the city participated in this event. The overall championship trophy was bagged by Loyola School and KSMS School was runners up.

There were nine spectacular events, beginning with Showcase followed by Byte Plight, WEB Designing, Counter Strike 1.6, FIFA’11, Lights Camera Action, Treasure Hunt, Graffiti and IT Quiz. Loyola High School and Gulmohur High School stood out as the best gamers in town. At the closing ceremony on 12th November, 2014 Fr. Alwyn S.J, Faculty XLRI, distributed the prizes and the trophies to the winners.

Schools which participated at the event included Loyola High Scool, Sacred Heart Convent, Beldih Church, Hill Top, LFS, MNPS, Gulmohur High School, Dayanand Public School, KSMS, RV, Saint Mary’s, DAV Bistupur, DPS, KPS Kadma, Chinmaya school.

The Teacher Moderators- Padmalata and Deepa, President- Rahul Kr. Jha Vice President – Nitish Kanan of the Computer Club Carmel Junior College and all the board members and volunteers did a commendable job and contributed to the success of Provoke.

Earlier on Nov 11 the event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Prof. Ashis K Pani, Associate Dean of VIL, XLRI Jamshedpur and the school Principal Sister Sylvie and others.
