Jamshedpur : DBMS English School hosted the first ever Inter School Commerce Quiz Biz-Wiz at its campus. This quiz aimed to develop an awareness amongst students about finance, economics, current affairs and events which will help to improve their financial literacy.
A total of 16 schools of Jamshedpur participated in the quiz. Six best teams qualifed for the stage round. They were: Loyola School, D. B. M. S. English School, Sacred Heart Convent School, St. Mary’s English High School Tagore Academy and Kerala Samajam Model School. Loyola School won the contest while DBMS School stood second.
The quiz was compiled by Anitya Ajmani who is pursuing B. Com Hons in finance, from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and Actuarial Science. The quiz masters for the day were Kunal Venkat who is currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy and Graduation from IGNOU and Mohit Agarwal who is also pursuing Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary course and Graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
The quiz compirised six rounds based on commerce facts, visual rounds, brain teasers, find the connection round etc. There were questions for the audience too. The teams on stage battled it out for the first place by showing their immense knowledge of financial matters.
The chief guests for the day were B. Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Jt. Chairpersons, DBMS, whose presence inspired and motivated the students. The commerce quiz was the brain child of the vice-principal, P. K. Sahu.
