Loyola School Telco celebrates International Women’s Day

A woman completes her family, home and society: Fr Toppo

Jamshedpur, March 10:Loyola School Telco celebrated Women’s Day on Sunday with a focus on church participation. The keynote speaker on this topic was Father Alok Toppo, Professor, St. Robert’s College, Ranchi.

Referring to the large group of five hundred women who participated in it, he said that women were the voice of the church and society. “A woman completes her family, home and society,” he observed. Keeping the spiritual aspect in mind, he highlighted the role of a partnership between society and the church.

Fr Toppo stated, “A woman has gone ahead of men at every step but her contribution in the family is waning and the craze of single mothers is increasing. This star’s single mother craze has to be stopped.”

This program was conducted by the Women’s Association of Telco Church. Manisha Toppo, President of Women’s Association and Teresa Toppo, Former President, St. Joseph’s Church Golmuri were honored on this occasion as two hard-working women leaders.

 

Father Gerry, Administrator of Loyola School, and Father Valerian Lobo, Coordinator of the Catholic Women’s Association, were also present during the proceedings.
