Loyola School Prepares Teachers for Future Classrooms with AI

Jamshedpur: Ahead of the new academic session, Loyola School hosted a dynamic two-day Orientation Programme on March 12 and 13, 2026. The sessions equipped faculty members with cutting-edge teaching strategies and innovative perspectives to transform classroom learning in the coming year.

Strengthening Community Through Appreciative Inquiry

Fr. Michael Thanaraj SJ, Rector of Loyola School, led the first workshop on Appreciative Inquiry. This interactive session moved beyond traditional problem-solving by encouraging teachers to recognize existing strengths and positive practices. By focusing on collaborative growth, the workshop helped the academic community cultivate a constructive mindset for professional development.

Bringing Artificial Intelligence into the Curriculum

Muralidhar Koteshwar, Chairperson of Sampoorna Life Skills Foundation, headlined the second session, titled “AI Integration in Curriculum.” As a prominent voice on the intersection of technology and human values, Koteshwar introduced the faculty to the fundamentals and latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Key highlights of the session included:

  • How AI Works: A breakdown of the technology’s core mechanics.
  • Enhancing Education: Practical tools and strategies for using AI to improve student engagement.
  • Ethics and Safety: A deep dive into the risks, policy frameworks, and ethical responsibilities of using AI in a school setting.

The faculty actively participated in discussions, reflecting on how to responsibly implement these digital tools in their specific subjects. This orientation provided a vital platform for teachers to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the 2026-27 academic year.
