Teaching kids the values of giving and sharing: Maya’s inspiring act

Jamshedpur, June 2: In today’s world, where material possessions and personal achievements often take centre stage, teaching children the importance of giving and sharing is more crucial than ever. A heartwarming example of this is Maya, a 10-year-old student from Loyola School, Jamshedpur. In April 2025, Maya made a selfless decision to donate her hair to cancer patients. This small yet significant gesture not only demonstrated Maya’s kindness but also highlighted the value of sharing something that held greater value to someone else than it did to us.
