Jamshedpur: The Alumni Association of Loyola School (LAA) and Loyola School came together to organize the much-anticipated annual Cyclothon, a vibrant event aimed at honouring doctors and healthcare professionals for their tireless dedication. Titled “Pedal with Purpose,” the event gathered alumni, school authorities, healthcare workers, and cycling enthusiasts to raise awareness about the crucial role doctors play, especially in times of global health crises.

Over 575 enthusiastic students from Std 4 to 12 took part in the 6-kilometre ride through parts of Circuit House Area, Link Road, Dhatkidih, Kadma, and Bistupur. The cyclothon adhered to strict public health protocols, ensuring a safe yet exciting experience for all participants.

Speaking about the event, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, remarked, “This cyclothon is a heartfelt tribute to doctors everywhere. It celebrates their relentless dedication, giving our alumni and community an opportunity to show their appreciation in an energetic and engaging way.”

Cycling symbolizes endurance, strength, and perseverance—qualities that resonate with the resolve and commitment of healthcare workers. The organisers hoped to unite participants of all ages in a healthy, fun activity, all while shining a spotlight on the vital contributions of doctors and healthcare heroes.

The event not only fostered community spirit but also reminded everyone of the critical role doctors play in safeguarding public health.
