Loyola School Jamshedpur changes timings due to extreme heat conditions

Jamshedpur, April 3: As the mercury climbed beyond 40 degrees Celsius in Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas, Loyola School in Bistupur, announced a change in its timings.

Effective from Thursday, April 4, the school will be implementing revised timings to ensure the safety and well-being of students. For younger children, including nursery and LKG students, the reporting time has been set at 8:00 am, with dismissal at 10:30 am. Meanwhile, classes for students from UKG to 5th grade will commence at 7:00 am and conclude at 11:45 am.

Students from classes 6 to 12 will have adjusted timings, with reporting at 6:45 am and departure at 12:00 pm. This decision came amidst concerns raised by the Jamshedpur Parents Association, who submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner expressing apprehensions regarding the anticipated heat wave in the region.

With temperatures expected to soar further in the coming days, such proactive measures by educational institutions will be crucial in safeguarding the health and well-being of students
