Loyola School hosts Azionare 2024: A Cultural Extravaganza, Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya declared overall champions

 

Jamshedpur, Aug 23: Loyola School Jamshedpur hosted its annual cultural extravaganza, Azionare 2024, on August 23rd, drawing participants from 17 schools across the city.

The event, themed “Bollywood,” featured 15 diverse competitions spanning dance, song, design, art, literature, infotainment, debate, quiz, and entrepreneurship skills. Azionare continues to grow each year, providing a platform for budding talents to showcase their creativity.

The day began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address from Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School. The audience was treated to a vibrant welcome dance before being addressed by the event’s guest of honor, Sajid Ali, a distinguished alumnus and director of the film “Laila Majnu.”

Ali, who graduated in 2003, spoke about the school’s commitment to holistic education and how it shaped his journey as a filmmaker. He emphasized the importance of integrating various skills and experiences into the curriculum to nurture well-rounded individuals.

Ali was later felicitated by Fr. Rector, Fr. Principal, and Fr. Pius, a former principal, before officially declaring Azionare 2024 open.

Participants competed in 8 off-stage events, including “RRR,” “Saudagar,” “Dil Se,” “Taare Zameen Par,” “Satyameva Jayate,” “2.0,” “Black,” and “8 X 10 Tasveer.”

On-stage events included “Golmaal,” “Kitne Aadmi They,” “Ek Ruka Hua Faisla,” “Geet Gata Chal,” “ABCD,” “Andaz Apna Apna,” and “Rock On.”

The closing ceremony was graced by Shatakshi Kiran, Ms. Universe Jharkhand, a model and actor from Jamshedpur.

Her presence added glamour to the event, which concluded with an exciting Ramp Showcase titled “Andaz Apna Apna,” marked by confidence, style, and impressive dialogue delivery. The day’s celebrations wrapped up with a lively performance by the Loyola Band.

Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya emerged as the Overall Champions of Azionare 2024, excelling in both on-stage and off-stage events, while Carmel Junior College was named the Overall Runner-Up.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice Principal of Loyola School, marking the end of a memorable day filled with creativity and cultural expression.
