Loyola School crowned champions of India Quiz

Jamshedpur: In a nail bitting finish, host Loyola School was crowned champion of India Quiz organised at Fasy Auditorium on Saturday. Quiz Master Barry O’Brian kept students glued to their seats.

 As part of Platinum Jubilee celebration, the Loyola family organised a grand quiz sponsored by LAA(Loyola Alumni Association)inviting participants from all the schools of Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Dhanbad and Bhubaneshwar, under the guidance of none other than the renowned quiz master Barry O’Brian. An event that brought together over 33 schools from the eastern zone of the country, represented by 60 plus teams and attended by the students, alumni and Loyola fraternity. The quiz comprised of a preliminary written round and the qualifiers participated in the Mega Quiz.

The eight teams which qualified for the final round were Hill Top School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, D.A.V. Patelnagar, D.B.M.S. English High School, SDSM School , Sacred Heart Convent and Loyola School Jamshedpur. 

The winners of the quiz were Loyola School Jamshedpur securing the gold and cash prize of 20,000 followed by Hill Top School winning the silver and a cash prize of 15,000 and Sacred Heart Convent, winning the  bronze with a cash prize of 10,000. 

While the quiz provided a platform for the initiative and acumen of the youth of today’s India, it also was emblematic of the values and objectives of this institution that is steeped in history and tradition. Mr. Barry O Brien, with his charisma and wit enthralled the audience and made the quiz an extremely interactive, informative, and thrilling one. 

This Quiz marks one of the many events and initiatives that will follow in the subsequent months, in honor and celebration of the Platinum Jubilee. A truly historic and memorable occasion for Loyola School and the city of Jamshedpur. 

This year, 2022, marks the Platinum Jubilee of Loyola School Jamshedpur. The institution was established in 1947 and has continually strived to deliver value-oriented education and shape the youth of Jamshedpur for a brighter future. Loyola Jamshedpur celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1997. Over the decades, marching ahead hand in hand with Independent India, Loyola Jamshedpur proudly celebrates and shares its anniversary with the nation, celebrating its Platinum Jubilee in the year marking India’s Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration of 75 glorious years.
