Loyola School celebrates Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm

Jamshedpur: Loyola School Telco was brimming with excitement and reverence as it celebrated Teachers’ Day on Tuesday. In a unique twist, the responsibility of organizing and executing the program fell upon the capable shoulders of students from class VII and VIII. The event unfolded in the grand hall of the school’s main building.

The festivities commence with a warm welcome for the teachers, accompanied by soothing background music. Lakshya Verma and Harshita, both students of class VIII, took on the honor of hosting the program. The opening ceremony began with the garlanding of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s portrait, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The esteemed guests for the occasion included the Principal of Loyola School Telco, Charanjeet Ohson, Administrator Fr. Gerry, Pre-Primary Moderator Colleen Xavier, and Counsellor Fr. Gautama. The atmosphere was further enriched with a prayer dance, invoking blessings from the divine.

Jishan Som, a student from class VIII, delivered an eloquent speech that paid tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India. The students impressed the audience with a captivating PowerPoint presentation expressing their gratitude to their teachers. The entertainment continued with students from classes V, VI, VII, and VIII performing two fusion dances, leaving the spectators in awe. The versatile school choir enchanted everyone with their melodious singing, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

Adding a creative touch to the celebration, students from class VIII enacted a play that portrayed the lives of teachers, highlighting their dedication and impact on students’ lives. As a token of their appreciation, students crafted portraits and presented them to their beloved teachers.

The event also featured interactive games where students had to identify their teachers based on clues, injecting an element of fun into the day’s proceedings. Principal Charanjeet Ohson expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the teachers’ unwavering dedication to the holistic development of their students. She also commended the students for their efforts in organizing the program.

On behalf of the teaching staff, Tr. Mitali and Tr. Shushila extended their warmest congratulations to the students for their thoughtful efforts in making Teachers’ Day truly special. Nishit Rai, a student from class VIII, concluded the program with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The celebration concluded with the school anthem, leaving a sense of unity and gratitude in the hearts of all present.
