Jamshedpur, Nov. 24: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organized an inter-school mega quiz competition at the United Club on Friday in the memory of late Rotary member Rita Narayan. Students from 20 city school participated in the contest.
Loyola School emerged the winner of the contest, while Little Flower School (LFS) was the runner-up. Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) ended at the third place. The Rita Narayan Memorial quiz was conducted by Rotarian Abhijit Mitra and Dr Sujata Mitra.
In order to successfully organize this quiz competition, Club President Dr Rita Jha, New Generation Director Ruby Bhatia played a vital role. Senior Rotation Raghvendra Mathur, Nina Mathur, Secretary Rajesh Kumar also contributed to make this event a success.
Earlier, written preliminary round was also held which saw four teams progress to the final.
Past President Om Narayan sponsors this event in fond memories of his wife.
Bakshi informed that late Rita Narayan was a very active member of the club and was the wife of Om Narayan, former managing director of Tayo Rolls.
