Loyola boys ace Bishwadeep Sarkar Memorial Quiz

Jamshedpur, Sept. 18: Loyola School emerged the winner of Bishwadeep Sarkar Memorial Environment Quiz Contest in a closely fought contest. The second place was bagged by River View School.

The annual inter school quiz hosted by DBMS English School in loving memory of Bishwadeep, a student of our school, saw Sri Krishna Public School clinch the third spot.

The Quiz Masters for the day were the Std 11 students of DBMS English School, as the host school does not participate in the quiz.

The Quiz comprised five rounds. The children were quizzed on a wide array of environmental topics wherein they had to exercise their wits to battle it out for the top spot. It was truly an infotainment Quiz which was enjoyed by both the participants and the audience.

Principal of DBMS English School Rajani Shekhar said, “The school believes in promoting environmental awareness through this quiz, and to make everyone aware of the fragility of our Environment and the importance of its protection.”

The quiz saw participation of students of Stds VIII, IX and X from 12 city schools. Five teams qualified for the finals including-Loyola School, Kerala Samajam Model School, River View School, Sri Krishna Public School and D. S. M. School for Excellence.

The Quiz was witnessed by the school Chairperson Bhanumathi Neelekantan, Members of the DBMS School Managing Committee, Principal Rajani Shekhar, and Vice Principal P.K. Sahu.
