Jamshedpur: The Loyola Alumni Association (LAA), under the aegis of the Jesuit Alumni Association of India’s annual blood donation program, successfully organised its annual blood donation camp on Wednesday at Loyola School, Jamshedpur.
Held on the eve of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the camp commemorates the legacy of the founder of the Society of Jesus by upholding the Ignatian values of service, compassion, and care for others, especially the most vulnerable.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Jesuit fathers, alumni members, teachers, parents, and students who came forward to support this noble cause. A total of 106 voluntary donors turned up for the camp, out of which 82 units of blood were successfully collected, meeting all required health parameters.
“LAA extends heartfelt gratitude to each and every donor for their selfless contribution. Your generosity will go a long way in saving lives and supporting those in need. The association remains committed to its mission of serving the marginalised sections of society and continues to uphold the values instilled by Jesuit education,” said Rajiv Talwar of Loyola Alumni Association (LAA).
