Jamshedpur: The Loyola Alumni Association (LAA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at St. Joseph’s Hall, Loyola School, on Saturday, bringing together over a hundred Loyoleans from different batches for an evening of reflection, fellowship, and camaraderie.
The meeting began with a prayer and invocation of blessings by Fr. Vinod Fernandes, President of LAA, who also delivered the welcome address. He expressed gratitude to all alumni for their continued support and commitment to the association’s mission of fostering community and service.
Pratim Banerjee, Secretary, presented a comprehensive report of the association’s activities for the year 2024–2025, highlighting various social, educational, and outreach initiatives undertaken by LAA. Following this, Iqbal Alam, Treasurer, presented the audited accounts for the financial year, providing a transparent overview of the association’s financial performance.
As part of its social outreach, LAA donated sports equipment to St. Ignatius School, Rengra, with Fr. Bernard receiving the items on behalf of the school. The gesture was appreciated by all members as a meaningful contribution to promoting sports and holistic education among students.
Rajiv Talwar, Senior Vice President, summarized the day’s proceedings and proposed the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all members for their active participation and continued dedication to the Loyola spirit.
The meeting concluded on a warm and cheerful note with fellowship and high tea, where alumni reconnected and shared fond memories of their school days. The event reaffirmed the Loyola Alumni Association’s commitment to nurturing bonds among Loyoleans and contributing positively to society.
