Jamshedpur, Aug. 28 : A low pressure is expected to bring more rain Jharkhand’s weather resulting in widespread rain covering most districts in southern and central after the next 24 hours.
Weathermen said a cyclonic circulation which over hover North Bay of Bengal extending upto 5.8 Km above mean sea level tilting south-westwards was expected to intensify into a low pressure area after the next 24 hours, resulting in rains in many districts.

” As per our study most districts would get light to moderate rain for atleast three days from tomorrow due to the low pressure,” said an official of Meteorological Centre.
Statistics revealed that the monsoon activity was weak during the past 24 hours. Light to moderate rain was experienced by a few places.
Weathermen said most districts of Jharkhand would get rain from tomorrow due to the impact of the low pressure. ” The rainfall during the new few days would help in reducing the deficit by three to four per cent, ” said a duty officer
Statistics reveal that Jharkhand still faces a rain deficit of 26 per cent till today. Against a normal of 778.4mm, the state has actually received 574.2mm of rain. The rain deficit dipped by one per cent in 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours only a few IMD observatories including Jamshedpur and Ranchi reported rainfall. Farming in Jharkhand is completely dependent on monsoon because of lack of irrigation facility and farmers’ inclination for cultivation of paddy which requires adequate rainfall. Advising the farmers to stop transplanting paddy, an official said that in case they continue to go for transplantation, they must put more than one sidling and reduce the quantity of fertilizer.
