Jamshedpur: Following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, the second phase of the lottery process for admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act was successfully conducted at the Collectorate Auditorium in East Singhbhum district. This lottery aimed to allocate reserved seats for children from economically weaker sections in private schools.
Out of a total of 697 applications received, 192 students have been selected for admission through the second phase. The process included 28 private schools where the number of applications exceeded the available reserved seats. In these schools, the selection list was prepared through a transparent and publicly conducted lottery process.
In addition, for 19 schools where the number of applications was less than the number of reserved seats, the admission lists were finalized accordingly without requiring a lottery.
The event witnessed the presence of principals of all participating private schools, relevant district officials, and representatives of the Parents’ Association, ensuring transparency and accountability in the process.
All participating schools have been provided with login IDs and passwords to complete the online admission process. Schools are required to complete the admission of selected students within the next five days through the provided online system.
