Ghatshila, May 3: The Ghatshila branch of Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Mahasabha (ABBM) organized a prayer session on the occasion of Lord Parshuram Jayanti in the Gopalpur Shiva Mandir. After prayers consecrated food was distributed among devotees.
After the prayer session, a meeting was held during which the problems being faced by the Brahmin community in the realms of marriage of Brahmin girls from economically weak backgrounds, education and introduction of Vedanta classes were among other topics discussed at the meeting. Sweets were distributed on the auspicious twin occasions of Akshay Tritiya and Lord Parshuram Jayanti. The program was chaired by Ghatshila ABBM President Binod Sharma. Rajesh Choubey, Rupesh Dubey, Ajay Chakraborty, Debraj Mukherjee and other members of the Brahmin community were present on the occasion.
