Loopholes in healthcare system to be removed: Jharkhand health minister Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur, Feb 1: Jharkhand health minister Banna Gupta paid surprise inspection visit to various health centres in Baharagora Assembly constituency on Saturday. He spoke to doctors, nurses and other health department employees and sought updates on the current health scenario. He convened a meeting with the senior health officials and assured to bring about improvement in the health scenario through a slew of measures very soon.

Gupta said the health department needs urgent attention for improvement of healthcare facilities. He said cooperation between various departments would help improve treatment facilities in the various health centres across the state. He said necessary measures would be taken to strengthen basic infrastructure in the health department.

Gupta also visited the under-construction primary health centre (PHC) in Jagannathpur. He further visited Baharagora community health centre (CHC) and spoke to the doctors and paramedical staff. He was told there are only five doctors against a total vacancy of 20 doctors at the CHC.

Gupta said improving healthcare system in the circles would reduce the burden on MGM Hospital and RIMS. He said more appointments of doctors and paramedical staff would be made to deal with the manpower crisis.
