Jamshedpur, Feb. 16: Tata Steel today inaugurated a two day �Long Product Mills Seminar� at Beldih Club, Jamshedpur.
The event was inaugurated by Sudhansu Pathak, Vice President- Steel Manufacturing, Tata Steel and Alok Kanagat, Vice President Engineering & Projects, Tata Steel.
The event had an overwhelming response with around 100 participants comprising of operations, maintenance and quality managers from New Bar Mill, Wire Rod Mills (East & West), Merchant Mill and ISWP and experts from mill manufacturers and automation experts (M/s Danieli and Danieli Automation), furnace experts (M/s Fives Stein), Roll manufacturers (M/s Sandvik, Mr. Tayo and M/s Kennametal), Refractory experts (M/s Calderys) among others.
On the occasion of the seminar, a compendium of all the Wire-rod & Bar mills of the Tata Steel Group was released comprising of the status of their Key Performance Measures, achievements, challenges and future plans.
The seminar is being jointly organized by the Performance Improvement team (PIT) and Knowledge Management (KM) Sub-community of Long Products in association with Engineering & Projects division.
