Jamshedpur, April 9: The Saraikela police nabbed five persons roaming around the streets and public places without any valid reason. They were taken to the police station and later let off on condition that after the lockdown phase got over, they would have to report in court and take bail or else will have to mark time behind bars.

Saraikela police OC Navin Prakash Pandey informed that two persons, Tuntun Parihari and Pradip Pradhan were playing cards in the market. Another, a quack, Vinay Kumar Jyotishi was out on the city streets selling medicines in total disregard for the lockdown. The Saraikela Circle Officer Gitanjali Kumari had him taken to the police station.
Jodhan Kumbhakar was roaming around aimlessly on his motorcycle and when asked by the police, could not give a satisfactory reply. He too was picked up and taken to the Saraikela police station. The Saraikela Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer Rajiv Ranjan Singh caught a tea stall owner serving tea during lockdown. The vendor managed to escape but his goods were seized. The police are on the lookout for him.
