Chinmaya School crowned overall champion, Loyola runner-up

Jamshedpur, July 31: Little Flower School in Telco organized a mega inter-school science fest, Quantum – 2022 over a two day period commencing Saturday, July 30. Quantum is an annual event being organized by Little Flower School (LFS) through 14 years. Promising science aficionados from 25 schools vied for top spots in 17 events over two days of thrilling and ingenious events. The chief guest at the inaugural session was popular social worker and hotelier, Ronald D’Costa.

A new event introduced in the Quantum series, Aqua Race, was the inaugural event that started the adrenalin flow. In the two day Quantum – 2022 event, Chinmaya School emerged overall champions while Loyola and Sacred Heart Convent schools were declared first and second runners-up respectively.

The inaugural and newly introduced Aqua Race was conducted at the Telco Club swimming pool in the presence of LFS Principal, Sister Hilda D’ Souza, host Rahul and teacher coordinators. The event saw participants who designed their own motorized boats and set them off for an exciting race that set the pace for other events to follow that included Sci-Tech Preneur, Dueling Directors, Sherlock, Pursuit of Dispute, Sportify, Qrious, Crypto, Connecting Neurons, Mimema, Model Making, Optricks, Celebrazione, Science in 2D, Scienceporium, Robowar and Adstreet.

The winners in the Sherlock event were Sacred Heart Convent (1st), Chinmaya Vidyalay (2nd) and JH Tarapore (3rd); Cryptopunk: Team Aruni of DBMS (1st), Team Atri of Hilltop (2nd) and Team Vishwamitra (3rd). The Bio Quiz contest was won by Loyola High School.
