Jamshedpur, June 22: The Association of British Scholars (ABS) Jamshedpur Chapter organized a captivating event, “Shakespeare with a Twist,” at Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS).

This short play competition aimed to inspire a love for Shakespeare among schoolchildren by encouraging them to creatively reinterpret the Bard’s works with humor and imagination.

The event began with an opening remark and a warm welcome address by Shantanu Chakraborty, Vice President of ABS Jamshedpur Chapter.
Twenty-two schools from Jamshedpur participated in this exciting competition, showcasing their creativity and talent in reimagining Shakespearean classics with hilarious twists.

In the competition: First Prize was bagged by Little Flower School, Telco followed by Tarapore School, Agrico and Kerala Samajam Model School, Golmuri.

Special Awards for Best Actor went to Tamanna Bose, DBMS, Best Costume award was won by Karthik, Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya while Loyola School took home the Best Twist award.

The ABS Jamshedpur Chapter extends heartfelt congratulations to all participating schools and winners for their outstanding performances and enthusiasm for reimagining Shakespearean classics.
