Little Flower School Jamshedpur promotes waste recycling during Earth Day celebrations

Jamshedpur, April 26: Little Flower School (LFS) at Telco concluded its Earth Day celebrations with a Domestic Waste Collection Drive that spanned the entire week, commencing April 22. The drive, aimed at instilling eco-consciousness among students, witnessed enthusiastic participation as the children contributed recyclables to prevent them from ending up in landfills.

Organized for the third consecutive year by Nirmala Bhagat, the collection drive concluded on April 26. The students participated enthusiastically, contributing significant quantities of various recyclables. Plastic bottles amounted to 64.58 kgs, electrical waste totaled 95 kgs, tins and cans reached 19 kgs, steel waste amounted to 4 kgs, and hard fiber waste measured 60.25 kgs.

The initiative underscores the importance of recycling in mitigating pollution caused by improper waste disposal. Little Flower School’s efforts in promoting waste recycling mark a significant step towards environmental sustainability.
