Raghubar reviews Ayushman Bharat Scheme with DC and companies
Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das reviewed the ambitious Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana at Circuit House on Sunday. He was accompanied by the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar and the representatives of Tata Steel and Tata Motors.
According to the DC, the CM discussed about listing of various government and private hospitals under the said scheme. The CM asked the company officials to get Tata Main Hospital and Tata Motors Hospital registered under the scheme. The company representatives reportedly said a proposal would be prepared in this regard in 10 days after which the registration process would start, said the DC.
Kumar said any person possessing ration card can be identified through biometric authentication technique. �Any person having ration card is covered under this scheme. Today there are 57 lakh families covered under this scheme. When needed, any such person can get his card prepared through biometric authentication and avail treatment facilities in referral hospitals through the golden card,� he said.
The DC said the district administration had recently held a hand-holding exercise to find out how to implement the scheme. A list of 23 hospitals has been prepared so far. The listed hospitals will display boards for scheme beneficiaries and will also have an inquiry counter.
