New liquor product policy likely from June 1
Ranchi: The new product policy can be implemented from June 1. The draft of the new product policy has been sent to the Revenue Board, Finance Department and Law Department after the approval of the departmental minister.
According to the information, the Finance Department has sought information from the Product Department on some points of the proposed policy. The product policy will be sent for cabinet approval after getting approval from the concerned departments.
Under the new product policy, retail liquor shops will be allotted through e-lottery. For this, a software has been prepared by NIC, which is being tested at the departmental level.
After the implementation of the new product policy, the prices of liquor in Jharkhand are likely to come down. This may provide relief to the people of the state in buying liquor.
At the moment the prices of different types of liquor in Jharkhand are different.
