Jamshedpur:An illicit liquor dealer was found murdered under mysterious condition in his room at Baba Kutir under Baghbera police station area on Monday morning. The victim was identified as Bantu Singh, 45, who originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh. The victim was found lying in a pool of blood.
Officer-in-charge, Bagbera police station, Shailendra Kumar, said it was too early to comment however as per prima facie it could be a case of murder. “ We need to look whether it is still not clear whether the man might have murdered or he has died of excessive consumption of liquor” he noted.
Kumar said that they have already recovered the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary after an inquest. The officer-in-charge said that the deceased would consume liquor beside selling the stuff in an unauthorised manner.
A neighbour said that Bantu Singh used to stay in that house for the past 10 years and used to earn a living by selling illicit liquor.
