Jamshedpur, July 2: Madhav Lakhotia, outgoing District Governor of Lions Clubs International of Lions District 322 A conducted the annual district award function and gave away awards and recognition to all the 86 Lions Clubs of the District spread over from Sasaram in Bihar to Dumka in Jharkhand.
Many awards were received by Jamshedpur based various Lions Clubs. Maximum number of awards was bagged by Lions Club of Jamshedpur Steel City led by President Reepa Dutta.
They received 15 various individual and club awards which were presented by Past District Governors along with the District Governor to respective club and lion members.
Best Zone Chairperson award was conferred to Dr. Vandana Mishra who was also awarded the Best in Zone Chairperson Evaluation at the Eastern India Level. President Reepa Dutta got the Star President Award, Club Secretary Meena Bhagat as the Star Secretary, Veena Choudhary was conferred with Melvin Jones Fellowship Recognition, Sarita Roy adjudged the outstanding Treasurer, Sunita Singh, Pranati Das were awarded for their work in women empowerment and Anemia Control.
At Club level, Lions Club of Jamshedpur Steel City were awarded for Beti Bachao, Beti padao Campaign, Membership Growth, Hundred Percent Retention, Banner Presentation, Scrap Book Competition, Organising Fundraising Programme. The club was declared the Star Club in B Category having more than 25 members.
