Lions Peace Poster Contest held

Jamshedpur: Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar today conducted Lions International Peace Poster Contest for the school students of 11- 13 years of age on November at Picnic Area, Jubilee Park.

Twenty Selective students from different schools came out with their thoughts and imagination in painting the theme of the International Contest Our World Our Future.

A panel of two judges Shiv Lal and P N Pandit of K M P M High School after judging all the entries awarded Sonrity Kumari of Chinmaya Vidyalaya as the best followed by Ayush Sharma of Narbheram Hansraj English School and Kaushik Upadhaya of Rajendra Vidyalaya.

The winning entry will be forwarded to the district governor of Lions District 322 A where it will be judged with other winners and from amongst them one will be sent forward to compete at zonal level.

Bipul Chakraborty, Director, Tata Steel Zoological Park gave away the prizes to the winner and all the participants. He appreciated the efforts of Lion members in promoting art and culture amongst the students and providing international platform to excel.

Lion Biswanath Basak, president of the club along with Lion Hari Prasad, treasurer and Lion Lotti Saroja, Lion Sushma Rani Lenka, Lion Sarlochan Kaur, Lion Shashi Shekhar Prasad Singh, Lion D K Ghosh and Lion Subrato Dey helped the students and the club members in making the event meaningful.
