Jamshedpur : Lions to open five new clubs, set up portable water purification system and to provide affordable & biodegradable sanitary napkins in rural areas Lion Rajeev Ranjan, in coming District Governor of Lions District 322 A comprising twenty revenue districts of Jharkhand and six revenue districts of Bihar will initiate along with District Governor team of Lion Kanchan Singh and Lion Rajnish Kumar and Past District Governors and senior lion leaders will initiate plan to set up portable water purifications system and affordable & biodegradable sanitary napkins in the rural areas with the Lion members and Lions Clubs based in rural areas of Jharkhand and Bihar.
The club strength will be raised to 75 with the addition of five new Lions Clubs coming up in the un- represented areas of the district. With his slogan Promote Youth in Lionism, existing Leo clubs members will be encouraged to become Lions. There are ten Leo Clubs operating in the district whose membership is restricted between the age group of 18- 35 years. Campus Club will be opened and Club Branch with five member only will also be opened. Women participation will be encouraged with more and more women joining the Lions Fraternity.
All across the district booths and hoarding will be set to make community of Lions various social service activities covering health, education, environment, international relations and disaster management.
Community will be intimated well in advance about the incoming projects so that underprivileged and unprivileged could avail the opportunity. Lions Artificial Limb Centre situated at Sonari will be upgraded and also attempt is being made to set up a Lions Hospital in Adityapur were medical services and health care could be provided either free or at nominal cost.
District governor team of district 322 who were presented before the International Lions Clubs elaborated these plans. The team presented their district banner on the occasion which was led by Lion Sushma Trivedi, ruling district governor, incoming district governors for the next three years all of whom happened to be from Jamshedpur and their spouses.
