Lions Club celebrate Holi at Nirmal Hriday

Jamshedpur, March 22: Lions Club of Jamshedpur Steel City celebrated Holi with the children of slum school at Nirmal Hriday Home in Baradwari on Tuesday.

Musical chair, copy race, frog race, spoon race, and poem recital were held amongst the children, mostly tiny tots who are not being sent to school by their poor parents.

After the games, in which 50 plus children took part, toffees, fruits, sweets, colors with pichkari were distributed among them.

Members of the Lions Club led by club President Vandana Mishra, treasurer Meena Bhagat, past presidents Pranati Das and Veena Choudhary, Jyoti Singh, Manjit Kaur, and Homai Patel played Holi with all the children and other old age inmates of Nirmal Hriday and Sisters of Charity.

Rajnish Kumar, the newly elected District Governor, past District Governor Anand Choudhary and Zone Chairperson Dr Sanjay Kumar also celebrated with the children and had fun time with them. Later, all the children were served lunch in the presence of Lion members.
