Lightning kills youth near Loyola School

Jamshedpur: A 20 year-old youth, identified as Rajat Babla, a resident of Sonari, was electrocuted when lightning struck him near Loyola School ground on Tuesday.

Babla�s friends rushed him to Tata Main Hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead.

In this connection, Bistupur police have registered a case of unnatural death.

Police sources said the mishap occurred in the evening when the victim had just come to the mishap venue. Suddenly, a powerful lightning struck the place where the victim stood.

The youth was electrocuted severely. He fell unconscious on the ground. Shocked by the incident, his friends took him to the hospital but failed to save him.

Cops said they were investigating the case to find out as to under what circumstances did the mishap happen.
