Jamshedpur, Sept. 15: Little Flower School (LFS) has been crowned the winner of the �Bishwadeep Sarkar Memorial Environment Quiz-2017� organised by the Environment Club of D. B. M. S. English School on 15th September.
This is an annual event organised by Eco-Club of D. B. M. S. English School in memory of their beloved student �Bishwadeep Sarkar�. This quiz aims to develop awareness for conserving and preserving our environment so that we may leave behind a better legacy for the future generations.
Students from ten reputed schools of Jamshedpur participated in the quiz contest. Five best teams qualified for the stage round. Since the quiz was organised by the Eco Club members of the D. B. M. S. English School, the host school did not participate in the quiz.
The quiz comprised six rounds based on environmental facts, videos, pictures, visual rounds etc. The audience was also asked questions. The participating teams showed their intellect and knowledge and eventually battled it out for the winning position. Little Flower School (LFS) secured the first position with 210 Points. Loyola School bagged the second position with 205 points while Carmel Junior College with 190 Points was third.
Earlier, DBMS English School Principal Rajani Shekhar welcomed all and extended the vote of thanks. Lalitha Chandrashekhar (Jt. Chairperson), B. Chandrashekhar ( Jt. Chairperson), Hema Raghavan ( Secretary), Mr. P. K. Sahu (Vice-Principal), Co-ordinators, Eco Club Moderators -Kamla Venkat and Sudha Dutta, Parents of Bishwadeep Sarkar – Mrs. & Mr. Sunil Sarkar, teachers and all students witnessed the programme.
