LFS: Father-Child duo celebrate Father’s Day in style

Jamshedpur, June 17: A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again.

The Fathers’ Day celebration for the fathers of Upper KG- Class V student, held in Little Flower School (LFS) today, 16th June, was testimony to the fact.

Games were specially set up for the father-child duo, and it was heartwarming to witness the relationship shared between father and daughter and father and son.

The day began with ‘LFS Roadies’ where the fathers had to wriggle through a hurdle, run with a ball, and run back with their son back on their back. The fathers were left panting but the children were screaming with excitement.

‘Daddy’s doll’ called for the fathers to do up their daughters with bridal make-up, and what a job they did! But men will be men, some fathers did not even know where to apply cream!!

At the Antakshari event, the enthusiasm was electric. Each time the duo was needed to be continue a song, the fathers fumbled but the little ones knew the song, and many vies from the audience rang out to offer the answer.

The duo came well prepared for the duet song and dance events, carrying instruments like the keyboard, mandolin, guitar, etc. and performed well.

The ‘Father on wheels’ was hilarious. It was a slow cycle race and the one who came last was the winner. Strange indeed but fun to watch each one competing to be the slowest!!

Many fathers spontaneously articulated their special sentiments about the programme, which were delightful to hear.

Several fathers also spoke about how much they appreciated that our School makes the time with occasions such as this, to foster the importance of relationships and family values.
