Musabani : Residents of Leprosy colony in Musabani block have been facing drinking water issues for the last few years.

HCL ICC company in the year 2013-14 under their CSR constructed a water tower to help provide the residents of the colony with drinking water facility.

The water tower was operated by Ghatsila based Parivesh society. When the water tower was fully constructed, the residents were provided drinking water for some months but when the motor of the tower got damaged no one came to take information.

The disabled people of the colony stand in long queues for hours daily to obtain water from the handpump.

A resident of the colony says that there is no one who can help us out as the area is facing water, road , electricity and residential issues.

Several hand pumps in the colony don’t work and the two which are working doesn’t give out drinkable water.
