Baharagora, Sept 13: The sradh ceremony of late Jayanta Ghosh was held today. Jayanta was the national secretary of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan. Among his many admirers at the solemn function was Baharagora legislator Samir Kumar Mahanty who after garlanding the photographs of Jayanta Ghosh and his Mamata Ghosh (who predeceased her husband a few days earlier) observed, �Jayantada took up the issue of Bengalis, their language and their culture on the national forum. He remained very close to Baharagora and its people.�
Jayanta Ghosh�s admirers from the three attended the sradh ceremony en masse. Among others who were present on the occasion were Aditya Pradhan, Asit Mishra, Chandi Charan Sahu, Sudip Pattanaik, Ranjit Bala, Raj Kumar Kar, Gaurav Pusti, Manoj Pal, Ravindra Nath Das, Kalan Mahto, Swapan Mahto, Manoj Sathpathy, Tara Shankar Dutta, Satyajit Seet, Sandip Roy Chowdhury and Amit Roy also offered floral tributes.
