Seraikela, April 2: On the occasion of �Sarhul� acting on the directions of Jharkhand State Legal Aid Authority, Ranchi, Anuj Kumar of district legal services authority of Seraikela-Kharsawan informed students about several laws relating to them at the program held at St. Francis School.
At the event special focus was on Right to Education and Child Labour were students were provided detailed information. Kumar said that a person below 14 years of age is considered as a child so that child should not be involved in any king of word in a workshop, restaurant or any other workplace.
Kumar further informed that the central government will set up a Child Labour Technical Advisory Committee which will consist of a President and 10 other members. The committee will help diminish child labour in the country, added Kumar.
According to Child Labour Prohibition Act a person found guilty can be charged with minimum 3 months and maximum 1 year in jail or Rs. 10-20000 fine or both.
