Jamshedpur: A legal awareness camp was organized in Bangurda panchayat of Patamada under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jamshedpur, on Tuesday. A mobile van reached the village to spread awareness among the people on their legal rights and duties. The villagers were informed about the legal remedy available to them under different situations.
During the programme, judicial magistrates, advocates and paralegal volunteers informed the villagers about a number of laws dealing with atrocities on women, child labour, child marriage, MGNREGS, witch hunt, dowry torture, assault, arson, rape, domestic violence and road accidents.
The villagers were also informed about the various facilities provided by the DLSA to poor people who are unable to bear expenses of legal proceedings.
Among those present on the occasion include Sunil Pandey, Kapildev Thakur, SS Prasad and Rajesh Das.
