Legal awareness camp held in Birsanagar

Jamshedpur: A legal awareness camp was held in Hurlung under Birsanagar police station area on Sunday under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jamshedpur.

A large number of villagers were present on the occasion. They were informed about their legal rights and duties by the speakers comprising advocates and para-legal volunteers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Mishra, a para-legal volunteer, said the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme promises 100 days employment to the villagers.

The Right to Information Act can be used to get information about various services and benefits provided by the government, Mishra told the gathering.
Those present at the camp included Anil Kumar, Gangadhar Sardar, Rajesh Karmakar and Sushil Kumar.
