Leaves cancelled, BDO office remains open on Sunday

Noamundi: Following the cancellation of leaves by chief secretary of Jharkhand, the Noamundi block office remained open even on Sunday.

The office employees were busy short listing applications of beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes. The Block Development Officer Amren Dang said, �We had received a total of 890 applications for Indira Gandhi old age pension scheme, pension for widow and pension for physically challenged.

Some of the applications have been rejected as there were found without documents including Adhar Card, ID and photo.

We are forwarding 142 application of Indira Gandhi old age pension scheme, 142 applications of Indira Gandhi national widow pension scheme and 7 application of Indira Gandhi national disability pension scheme physically challenged to higher authorities for final approval.

In the block office, Circle officer Ravi Kishore Ram, Block welfare officer Rabindar Singh Dev, Agriculture block in-charge SubodhPramanik including official staff were present.
