Ranchi, Dec 5: JMM central committee vice president and Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, while taking a swipe at prime minister Narendra Modi observed that prior to the general elections, he and the BJP had promised to bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks along with interest.
He challenged the BJP government by stating, “Leave alone the interest, let Modiji bring back the principal amount.”
Addressing an election rally in the Simlia Assembly constituency in Ratu Block, Hemant Soren accused BJP leaders of selling dreams to woo the electorate. He also remarked that the BJP president was an agent of the corporate sector.
In a cryptic comment at the rally, the chief minister averred, “Narendra Modi is busy with his foreign tours so-much-so that he barely manages time to attend parliament. If he has no time to attend to parliamentary affairs, how can he look into national affairs?”
Hemant Soren claimed that the people of Jharkhand were testimony to the development work done by the JMM led government within a brief span of 14 months and the citizens’ confidence on the party was high. “The BJP will learn their lesson in the ensuing Assembly election,” he stated.
The chief minister also addressed election meets at Hazaribagh and other Assembly constituencies.
