Land Commission to be formed in Jharkhand: Hemant Soren

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said the state government was considering plans to form a land commission in the state so that the land of the poor people could not be transferred or usurped through fraud.

Addressing the gathering, the CM said the state government was committed to develop industries in Jharkhand and pass on its benefits to the people of the state.

He said he was in favour of allowing more and more investors to set up factories in Jharkhand provided the land owners were given adequate benefits in lieu of land acquisition.

Soren handed appointed letters to 38 members of displaced families for jobs in ACC factory besides giving the appointment letters to 14 teachers selected for Kasturba Gandhi Girls School.

As many as 83 people were given benefits of National Family Benefit Scheme, 25 under Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Scheme, 9 under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Scheme, 11 under Old Age Social Security Pension Scheme and 12 under Sona Sobran Dhoti Sari Scheme.
