Jamshedpur: Lajpat Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Meet 2025 on Saturday with great enthusiasm, vibrant performances and active participation from students, teachers and parents. The event reflected the school’s commitment to physical fitness, discipline and all-round development.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Purnima Sahu, MLA of Jamshedpur and Guest of Honour Vinod Arora, Chairman of Shiksha Samiti. School Treasurer Rajeev Talwar and representatives from All India Radio and DD News, Jamshedpur, were also present. Principal Ranjit Ghosh, Coordinator Sonu Choudhary, teaching staff and a large number of parents attended the event.
The celebrations began with a melodious welcome song, followed by a formal welcome extended by Principal Ranjit Ghosh. The meet was officially declared open by Chief Guest Purnima Sahu after the hoisting of the flag. A well-coordinated march past by senior students representing different house contingents impressed the audience, followed by the oath-taking ceremony and a colourful balloon release.
Young students showcased their talents through fun-filled events such as “Find the Toffees” by Nursery students and “Ringa Ringa Roses” by LKG students. Track events, drill dances, shot put competitions, pyramid displays, frog hopping races and a karate demonstration added excitement to the programme.
Special games were organised for parents and teachers, enhancing participation and enjoyment. The event concluded with prize distribution, including awards for Best House in March Past and Best Discipline, followed by a vote of thanks, making the day memorable for all.
