Lafarge’s JCP presents certificates to trained ladies

Jamshedpur, Feb. 22: Under Lafarge�s Saksham Bharat initiative wherein the company aims at making the people financially independent through various programmes, Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) organised a certificate distribution ceremony for 33 ladies who have successfully completed a six month course of beautician and sewing & knitting.

Manoj Kumar Agrawal, Vice President, JCP and Rajkumar Singh, Vice Chairman Zilla Parishad, East Singhbhum, distributed certificates to the ladies. They also distributed sewing & knitting and beautician kits to the trained ladies.

Addressing the gathering Manoj Agarwal congratulated the ladies for successfully completing the training programme and reiterated that the learnings should be used for making them self-reliant.

Sakuntala, the trainer of the beautician course explained about the training programme and informed that most of these ladies have already started their own job and are earning a decent livelihood.

The trained ladies have formed a group and will start their shop jointly. Out of the total 33 ladies 18 have completed beautician course while the rest are from sewing & knitting.

J L Murray, Advisor Corporate Affairs, also gave some motivational tips and word of encouragements to the participants.

Rajkumar Singh appreciated the initiative taken by Lafarge for making these ladies financially self-sufficient.

Anjali, the Centre In-charge, Suman, the Programme Coordinator, Mamta Devi, Trainer, Sewing & Knitting and Sakuntala were also present at the occasion.
