Lafarge organizes orientation program for the joint committee

Jamshedpur, July 2: Lafarge�s Jojobera cement plant organized an orientation program for members of the joint committee last evening at Hotel Jiva, Sakchi. The purpose of this program was to acquaint the new members with the working and rules of the plant.

The program was jointly inaugurated by Rakeshwar Pandey, president, LIEU, and Manoj Kumar Agrawal, vice-president, Jojobera cement plant, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Vinay Kumar Dubey, plant HR Head, welcomed the guests and participants.

During the course of the program, Agrawal spoke about organizational changes which form a continuous process in every organization, and emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on performance in order to retain their competitive edge in the market.

Pandeyurged the members of the joint committee to function in coordination with the management so that future generations could also benefit from associating with this organization.

S. K. Srivastava, secretary, LIEU, shared his views on industrial harmony; while Bijay Khan, general secretary, LIEU, spoke on roles and responsibilities of trade union leaders. V. K. Trivedi encouraged workers� participation in management act ivies, while Rahul Chatterjee, manager, Industrial Relations, wrapped up the evening with a vote of thanks.
