Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The fifth day of nominations for the municipal elections witnessed significant activity at the Collectorate premises. From the Mango Municipal Corporation, Kumkum Srivastava, wife of former BJP district president Rajkumar Srivastava, filed her nomination for the mayoral post, adding a notable face to the contest.

In Jugsalai Municipal Council, two key contenders entered the race for the president’s position.

Nausheen Khan, wife of senior JMM leader and State Minority Commission chairman Hidayatullah Khan and Aarti Chaudhary, wife of former Congress Jugsalai block president Jyoti Mishra, officially submitted their nominations.

The nominations highlight active participation by family members of prominent political leaders, reflecting the competitive nature of the elections.

Several other candidates have also filed nominations, making the upcoming polls in both Mango and Jugsalai highly contested. Voter attention is expected to be closely focused on these high-profile entries.
