Jamshedpur, Nov. 2: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) organized a parenting skill session by�Dr. Manoj Sahoo of Tata Main Hospital (TMH).
Dr. Sahoo began the session providing tips on teaching the child proper behavior. �The parents must first model the behavior and to bring up caring child the parent must be caring enough�, said Dr. Sahoo adding, the concept of rupture & repair is to get support from the child the parent must first extend enough trust and support to the child.
He further advised the parents to lay down commonly agreed rules and boundaries for each member to follow. The child should be rewarded for correct behavior such that right behavior is reinforced again and again.
The parents were happy with the session. Several of them interacted with him, and asked for advice.�Principal, Mrs. Nandini Shukla raised issues that teachers face while maintaining class discipline.�
