Baharagora: Krishi Jagriti Abhiyan, a campaign on agricultural awareness, launched in Baharagora block in the last three days, came to a conclusion here on Sunday.
Many local farmers were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the circle officer AK Jha said Baharagora was the top paddy producing block of the state.
He said the farmers need to adopt other farming activities as well. He said the farmers could benefit from horticulture, animal rearing, fishery and poultry farming.
He said Baharagora was the number one block in poultry business in East Singhbhum. He said the farmers needed to undergo training for soil testing.
He also stressed the need for a cold storage in the various blocks.
