Jamshedpur, Oct 3: On the third day of the Wild Life Week celebrations at Tata Zoo on Thursday a quiz competition was organized in association with Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City. Six teams consisting of two children each qualified for the table round out of a total of 54 children participated from 16 different schools.
Chief Guest for the occasion was Smita Parikh, Charter President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City. Simran Sagoo was the Quiz master for the event.
S.K. Mahato Curator of TSZP gave the welcome address in the presence of Dr. M. Palit, Dy Director cum Vety Officer, Manju Bhamra, Dr. S.M. Ghosh, Jayashree Ram Mohan, Sony Kumari, Rahul Tiwary (Zoo Volunteers) and other Zoo staff. Seema Rani, Biologist cum Education Officer, TSZP coordinated the whole program.
The quiz competition was won by Pritam Kundu and Prince Kumar of Kerala Public School (KPL), NML; Rahul Tiwary and Parijat Mishra of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya Telco were the runners up while Smriti Dubey and Shweta Suman of DBMS Kadma were the second runners up for the event.
Sushmita Mishra, Ankur Bhelawe, Sanidhya Kumar, Sanket Mandal, Shivam Malviya and I.V. Shyam Kumar Varma walked away with a consolation prize.
