Jamshedpur: The pre-primary segment of Kerala Public School (KPS ) Kadma warmly welcomed its new batch of Nursery students for the academic session 2026–27 on Sunday with a vibrant celebration themed “Let’s Explore the Sky.”
The campus was decorated with colourful sky-inspired elements, creating a cheerful and exciting atmosphere for the young learners on their first day of school. Various engaging activities were organised to make the children feel comfortable and happy as they began their educational journey.
The programme included shadow play, sensory activities, sound exploration, handprint art, music, fun games and dance, which kept the children actively involved throughout the event. Adding to the excitement, teachers dressed up as the sun, moon and stars, delighting the tiny tots and making the day even more memorable.
School Principal Sharmila Mukherjee and Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar warmly welcomed the children and their parents and extended their best wishes for the new academic session.
The colourful “Ting Tots” wing of the school was beautifully decorated with creative bulletin boards and welcoming displays, providing a pleasant and comforting environment for the toddlers.
The event marked an important milestone as the young students stepped into a nurturing space designed to support their academic, social and emotional development.
The first day of Nursery proved to be a joyful and heart-warming experience for both children and parents, marking the beginning of many happy learning moments ahead.
